Monsoon Malabar
₹700/250g
Monsooned Malabar is India's most distinctive coffee. After harvest, the beans are spread out in open-sided warehouses on the Malabar coast and exposed to the damp monsoon winds for several weeks. They swell, turn pale gold, and lose most of their acidity.
The result is a heavy, earthy, low-acid cup with notes of spice and wood, and it holds a Geographical Indication. We list 18 from 18 roasters, from ₹439 per 250g.
