What we list, where the numbers come from, and what we won't do.

What we list

• Roasted coffee beans sold by roasters based in India, priced in rupees.
• Each coffee once, even if the roaster sells it in several pack sizes.
• Not listed: instant coffee, flavoured coffee, chicory mixes, spiced blends, green (unroasted) beans, capsules, drip bags, ready-to-drink coffee, subscription plans, sampler boxes and gift sets, and equipment or merchandise.

Where the data comes from

Everything comes from the roasters' own websites: names, descriptions, tasting notes, origin, process, roast level, pack sizes and prices. Where a roaster's page is unclear, we check it by hand. We don't invent details a roaster hasn't published, so some coffees show fewer facts than others.

Prices per 250g

Roasters sell 100g, 200g, 250g, 500g and 1kg packs, which makes prices hard to compare. We convert each coffee's price to a 250g equivalent, using the pack size the roaster states. If we can't confirm a pack size, we don't guess: we show the pack price instead and say the size isn't listed.

Stock

Stock is checked on every roaster's shop about every three hours. A green dot means in stock, red means sold out, and grey means we couldn't confirm it, either because the shop doesn't publish stock or because it hasn't been checked in the last eight hours. The coffee's page shows when it was last checked.

How coffees are ordered

The default "Featured" order mixes roasters so that no single brand fills the page, starting with well-known roasters. You can also sort by price per 250g or by name. No roaster pays for placement.

Money

Coffee Beans India doesn't charge roasters and doesn't earn a commission on the links to their shops. If that ever changes, those links will be clearly labelled.

Corrections

Prices change and coffees sell out. If something looks wrong, email [email protected] and we'll fix it.
